Built to stay close to the work.

Smart Info Technologies has operated since 2007 and run production applications on its framework since 2014. We have deliberately kept the senior product team close to customer operations, because the fastest path from a business problem to a durable software change is a short one.

Why we exist

Most businesses are told to change to fit the software.

The mid-market gets the worst of it. Too specific for a package, too small to be quoted a sensible price for custom development. So the gaps get filled with spreadsheets, email and one person who knows how it really works.

We took a different route: build an engine that turns a definition of a business into a running application, then use it for every customer. The engine gets better for everyone; each system stays specific to one operation.

  • Founded in 2007 and operating continuously since
  • Framework-built systems in production since 2014
  • Current generation of the framework shipped in 2026
  • Millions of shipments planned and executed on our technology
  • Multiple live SaaS products on one framework
  • All applications configured, developed, hosted and managed by us on Google Cloud Platform

How we got here

We built it the hard way first.

The framework didn't arrive as a theory. It came out of doing the job the conventional way and not being satisfied with the result.

2007 — the company
Smart Info Technologies is founded, building business applications for customers the way everyone else did: designed, hand-written and then maintained line by line.
Before 2014 — the hard way
The first version of our transportation management product, SmartSCM, was built through conventional development. It worked, and it taught us the lesson the whole company now runs on: the expensive part of business software isn't building it, it's changing it afterwards. Every improvement meant a developer, a release and a risk.
2014 — the framework
We rebuilt SmartSCM on a framework that runs an application from a description of it rather than from hand-written code. It has been in production ever since, and every product we've built since then has run on it.
2026 — the current generation
Twelve years of running real operations tells you exactly where a framework is strong and where it gets in the way. This year we shipped the current generation, rebuilt around what that decade taught us. Same approach, considerably better engine — and the same reason our customers get improvements without a project to absorb them.

We didn't adopt this approach because it was fashionable. We arrived at it because we had already felt what the alternative costs over ten years — and we've now done the same exercise on our own framework.

Vendor continuity

Small-team risk should be answered with evidence.

Team size is not a reason to wave away continuity, capacity, security or support. These are the questions we expect in procurement, and we answer them directly.

Continuity
Continuous operation since 2007, systems running on the framework since 2014, source and metadata escrow available, and the option for larger customers to configure, host and manage the system themselves. The definition is the specification, so the system documents itself.
Capacity
The framework does the work headcount does elsewhere. Because applications are defined rather than hand-coded, a small senior team maintains what would take a much larger team — and Google Cloud scales the infrastructure independently of us.
Assurance
SOC 2-aligned controls, federated identity, tenant isolation, TLS 1.3, AES-256 at rest, MFA, and a high-availability database architecture with recovery procedures designed to restore service in minutes. The full technical detail is published in our security overview.
Support
The person who answers built the framework. No tier-one script, no handoff, no account manager relaying messages to engineering.

You're not choosing between us and a large vendor's best team. You're choosing between us and a large vendor's smallest account.

What customers say

The best software review is the one written ten years later.

As a small company competing in a land of giants, our value proposition depended on working smarter. This required an IT partner that could share our vision and deliver to our requirements. SmartSCM has done that since 2012.
Theodore PrinceChief Strategy Officer and Co-founder, Tiger Cool Express LLC
SmartSCM is not an ordinary TMS. It is a one of a kind, ever evolving program customised to our unique business model — managing multiple modes of transportation and warehouse distribution in one place. It has been essential to our success since 2009.
